Post Ripley the RX-8 not using as much oil since a service a while ago!

Previous owner notes that after a service a while ago, maybe when coils changed? but unclear exactly. Ripley started using less oil.
As i have been monitoring temps, i have certainly noticed a tendency to get warm rather quickly. Nothing worth worrying about, but with a car that has had an all weather lifestyle for 65,000kms in 10years, could it not be possible that the injectors or OMP could be clogged or restricted?
And considering i'm a noob, should i just start PreMixing to avoid any further potential wear.
I'll have to check the service receipts on when i get them next week.

I guess i'll test out the temps after my first premix.

Starting to premix is a fine idea. And yeah, if its not using as much oil, the previous owner changed their driving behaviour or the OMP lines are clogged.

Or it could be something else that someone more knowledgable than me here will tell you.

he probably wasn't driving it as much when it was hot. choosing to walk or bike instead. I'm thinking it probably has some mild carbon buildup too.

Definitely check the OMP lines. Oil consumption does vary by how the car is driven. My car uses almost none when I granny it, and quite a lot when I don't. The OMP is the lifeline of the engine. Make sure that system is healthy.

Yes, premixing never hurts. It is a good practice.
