Hi! I have a 2004 RX-8. Everything is stock and it is just shy of 95000 miles. Regular maintenance is current. There is a chance that the shop will have to pull the engine for a stuck SSV repair. In that case, I was hoping to get recommendations for other maintenance that would be smart to complete (since I'm already paying the engine labor). I was thinking of items like a new clutch and motor mounts. Any other thoughts from the community? Thanks in advance.

 

They shouldn't actually be pulling the motor for that.

move ur car away, that shop doesn't know ****.

 

exactly - there's an SSV removal/cleaning in the repair section on this iste - take that in to the mechanic

 

Sorry. The shop didn't recommend removal. It was in something I read online about the range of repairs for P2070 engine code. I'd be happy to learn later today that the job doesn't require pulling the engine. Thanks again.
