Any idea what this might be? Found under the dash on drivers side of my 2004 RX8, purchased last year.

Aftermarket something... maybe an antennae for a radio? What's in the other end?

 

That's to plug in something that has a cigarette lighter style plug, like a phone charger. Probably someone added that to add more stuff that needed power. Also have seen cheesy LED light things that were powered off a cigarette lighter.

Mid-2000's junk. Probably not too hard to remove.
