Cool Rear Differential Oil

Can anyone advise how important it is to replace the rear differential oil at 48K as suggested in the maintenance schedule? I have replaced an ignition coil, 4 very high end spark plugs, and ignition wires. Prior to winter storage I wanted to do the maintenance suggested but as an earlier thread suggested most is just paying wads of bills for inspection of this and that. My car has 50k and is not winter driven. Likely not more than 3k added per year. Thanks for any help.

Replace it, it takes a couple of minutes and two bottles of factory diff oil is cheap. Our diff gets very hot, it's important to replace the fluid.
