hello i have an 08 rx8 my starter is weak cant starter car when is hot.
so i bought a 2011 rx8 starter.
does anyone knows what the difference from this starter.

 

Have you done a rotary-specific compression test before your purchase?

The later S1 starters are already fairly good.

If your cold starts are fine, then the starter isn't the problem. You need to check the compression, fuel pump, etc.

 

yes i have. i just got a rebuild on it .

 

So how did you know the starter is the problem?

Have you tested your battery with a load tester first?

Regardless, the S2 starter will bolt on.

 

it sounds weak and my builder said is my starter.

 

Who did the rebuild? And how much did it cost? Just curious.
