Question about headers,racepipes and catbacks.
Alright so before we start I have looked at the newcomer guides and stuff about headers and cat backs and what not. My question is more does anybody know a company that currently makes a full manifold back exhaust? I wanted to keep everything as uniform as possible and don't want to mix, I saw Racing Beat had one at one point but they don't currently sell the header, any pointers to companies I may not know about would be super helpful.

If you want a full header back system, it's going to cost a premium with marginal gains. Piecing aftermarket stuff together is going to be more cost effective. The most cost effective and "uniform" solution would be to get used, good-condition OEM parts. BHR had a long tube header / midpipe combo but I see it's sold out atm. If there's an exhaust/muffler shop around you, they can probably make you one. Will it sound good? No Depends on your opinion. Will it be all shiny and uniform for a while? Yes. Will you be happy with yourself after a year? Probably not.

Not Convinced
I'm not convinced that the swap from OEM to aftermarket header will not add some performance gain.

Mazda left next to nothing in terms of gains. Just about everywhere other than in the tuning is already scrapping the bottom of the barrel.
There's quite the history on here about header theories, but Team's theory pretty much holds up. The renesis engine has no intake/exhaust overlap so there's no scavenging >> meaning no 'length' headers of any kind will make a difference. This same theory is what mazda designed around, but going to a 3in log instead will be less restrictive. Not to mention the log style will be easier to manufacture, install, and probably less weight.
Of course nobody makes one off the shelf that I know. However there are plenty of 3in midpipes and catbacks available. Personally I really like the Racingbeat dual resonated midpipe and catback however they do neck down to a 2.5in flange even though its a 3in exhaust. Their header I think will just be a lot of weight for no performance difference.

If you do some research some people say they have had some luck with a header. Check out slip angle’s vids on YouTube. However at best it’s a very small gain. With these cars, just make sure everything works correctly, maybe a mid pipe and a tune and you may see some small gains. That’s pretty much it. If you need more power, probably not the car for you.

^^if you do your *proper* research you’ll find out the correct answer rather than listen to pretenders who only spread mistruths on subjects they have no real experience with or knowledge on. That correct answer being that it doesn’t take a header to see the same or better gains. Which was proven all the way back in 2006 fwiw.
