problems with my soeki hood dampers....

problems with my soeki hood dampers....

just got them in the mail today installed them but cant figure out why the back of the hood is now proped up about a 1/4 of an inch on both sides, any ideas? thanks for the advice!

I will be honest with you, I didn't have luck with those dampers. On mine the dampers were so stiff that I could sit on them and they wouldn't compress.

It takes some finesse to align the hood properly which might be what is giving you the gap as well.

hahaha yes please elaborate xD but i see what you mean they were extemely stiff out of the box so that might not be helping maybe if i compress them a few times and adjust the hood alignments itll work out better

LOL not the way you are thinking J . I used a 2x4 lol and had the dampers on each side. Trust me, I tried many many times to do the 'compress and expand' thing .. all it does is get the dampers damn hot lol. Didn't ease up for me, and I contacted Sokie Tech and they sent me replacement ones....same deal.

Did away with the idea until I found a set of Tein hood dampers for a good price

I got mine to work after a slight mod to the plastic under the wipers works great now

Oh yea sorry no matter what hood dampers you get you will need to trim up the weather seal.
