Power steering issue's/ warm up idle

I recently purchased a 2004 RX-8 and it was great for about a day, then problems starting rolling in. For one, when I start the car in the morning it will idle at about 2/3k rpms and slowly work its way down. The power steering went in and out as if it had a mind of its own, and now doesn't work at all. It does need new spark plugs, cables, and a few crank sensors that I know of. I'm not a very mechanically inclined person so I'm not quite sure where to start. Any advice would be greatly appreciated :D

Mrcook,

I believe you mean it needs plugs, wires and Coils.

The power steering going in and out is a common issue.

Most of the time it ends up being the connection below the coolant overflow drain tube.

The idle starting at 2-3K then working it's way down as the car warms up is normal.

Read through this as well.

If it ends up being the steering rack, let me know. I've got one you can buy for pretty cheap.

Just sayin'
