Best first impression 2018.
Introducing yourself and the car a little and show a few pictures of the car? That's for weak normies. REAL MEN(TM) swear like sailors and act like a rebel!
Oh and also, you are creating threads. Replies count as posts. No need to create more threads.

This is absolutely stupid bullshit. I have to post 10 newbie posts first? And if you're going to tell me something, tell the whole thing. Don't reply at me with some slick *** comment bullshit and leave me wondering what you're talking about. Naw mean homeboi? Get your **** together and communicate properly. I came here because I own an RX-8 and not expecting to go through this horse **** of an process.
You know, the best part about our little interaction here isn't the fact that the message went *woosh* right over your head. It also isn't that you replied to my warning as if I could do anything about the rules. It's not even that you decided to be aggressive about it.
No, it's your complete lack of reading comprehension skills. You think that just having 10 posts will let you out of the kiddie pool. You're going to have to put your time in here in the kiddie pool for 30 days as well as having 10 posts.

Additionally, there's nothing keeping you from interacting with people in this forum. It works just fine. People visit and reply all the time. I think you noticed my reply and the replies of other forum veterans. This isn't that big a restriction.

YOU ARE a NEW Member, like almost all other Auto Forums there ARE qualifying periods, same here.
After you have done 10-13 posts, wait 24 hours and YOU CAN then post in the main forum.
Or you could be banned...up to you.
PS: There are very good reasons as to why restrictions are put on New Members.

Gee even I did not know about the 30 day wait, really?, when did that come in..was always just post count, .IF that is correct that part I do not agree with, 30 days just does not sound correct.
After all it not as if we have the member traffic of 10 years ago...
And srtRX-8, Mods and Super mods , CAN NOT change the posting rules.

I think I remember having to wait 30 days before being able to post, it wasn't to bad since I only used the form when I needed it and i was able to post in the new member thread group. But yes if today it is still 30 days maybe they should look into making it less time

Agreed that 30 days is a long time, but it prevents a lot of bad stuff. Engagement with the board is down, but do we really want to loosen the rules to allow more of the types of people who buy these cars dirt cheap and then want help with all the same predictable problems or picking the "best" eBay header? Do we want to encourage more pointless noise?

It's only 30 days to start threads in SOME forum areas. The restriction is partly to keep people from coming on to sell cars and such when they have had no forum presence. They can post all they want in the New Members area. And can post for sale threads in there local area where face to face transactions can occur. This has cut down on dodgy seller problems a lot since implementation.
Personally I don't see the problem.....
