As the title suggests I'm going to overhaul my oil system. Items awaiting install or delivery are the SOHN Adapter, Re Medy Oil Pressure Kit, Greedy Oil Pan, and the Greedy Catch Can.

The only reason I am replacing the oil pan is that I am still getting an oil light when I maintain 4-5k rpm for a prolonged period of time. As I understand it that was a problem with the 04 pan and well, I don't like seeing false alarms. Or any alarms for that matter.

My question is am I missing anything? I've decided against the oil cooler because I live in a colder climate.

 

You already have 1 oil cooler if you have an automatic transmission, you have a 2nd oil cooler as well if you have a manual. Check in the bottom corners of the front bumper, next to the fog lights (if you have a Touring / Grand Touring) or the fog light filler inserts if you have a Sport.

You are correct though, you don't need it. The factory coolers are pretty efficient.

The only other thing I'd add, is: clean the OMP lines Looks like a good list.

 

You could also look into prolonging the life of your oil cooler by adding the Racing Beat oil cooler screens to your list Oil Cooler Screen for 04-08 RX-8 - Racing Beat
