Oil pressure dropping

So recently my car has been having a new issue, while driving along my oil pressure drops and my car turns off while im driving it. I have aftermarket gauges so i can see it going to 0 bar and then the car goes off. Also the car starts shaking between 4k-6k rpm. The idle has become very rough aswell. What could the issue possibly be?

Thanks,
alz

Any issues with undue oil consumption? Is the OMP still working?

If you are losing oil pressure then you have big issues. I assume there are no major oil leaks? What does your factory oil pressure gauge show? Do you have normal oil pressure at warm idle?

Drain the oil...I imagine it is full of metal shavings.

If it is knocking at higher rpm it is likely bearing failure

Possibly the oil bypass is sticking open...either way I can't see the motor being OK

Are you sure its the oil pressure dropping rather than eletrics dropping out and all sensors shutting down (followed by the motor)?
I mean, as long as the engine is turning and there isn't a gaping hole in an oil gallery somewhere, you should have some pressure.
