ID Oil Pan Installation

Hi guys im pretty new here, and a proud owner of a Yellow lightning 04 Rx-8. I dont mean to post in the wrong place, or start a thread that has been started or step on anyones toe. i've tried the search button #oil pan #oil pan installation #DIY Oil pan Installation etc.

I just got a used oil pan today to replace my current oil pan cause it has a pretty bad hole that leaks out all my oil daily. so a quart of oil a day has been my life for a few months now till i finally found an affordable oil pan.

So I have the pan, i have the tools. I see the bolts, i know there is adhesive and I gotta pry the old pan off without messing anything up around it. my question is do i need an oil pan gasket? i'll need silicone right? and any and all helpful tips would be nice thank you.

Use google to search, it works better.

For example: https://www.google.com/webhp?sourcei...20DIY&safe=off
The first result should help you out with what you are looking for.
