odd noise

Hi all! Just looking for some advice please, I have a strange whoooshing noise. It's sounds like it coming from under the glove department. Any ideals please.

Could be the cabin air filter is plugged and air is leaking around the edges. Woosh is kind of a vauge term. Best I got

Foot well is dry,it's only does it when the revs go over 3 and 1/2 4 thousand s revs.

The heater hose will make a woooshing gurgle noise

Providing some detail about the car ... like the year and model would be nice.

Ok sorry forgot that bit. It's a 2004 year 231 version and has 56000 on the clock. Thanks for replying
