Question noobie lost a bolt installing a gta car kit

the gta kit plugs into the back of the stock head unit so you can play ipods and aux cords through the stock system...

Anyway, removing the head unit i took off the panel where your knees go if your in the drivers seat and then the metal cross member. Then you can get to the bolt more center console-ish that holds in the head unit. well helping my gf install this gta kit, i told her the instructions say DONT DROP THE BOLT. what she do? she dropped the bolt. no idea how to retrieve.... should i just buy a new oem one and install it?

heres the install video..
@ 4:32 he mentions and shows the bolt you should not drop.

any idea how one would retrieve?

There are long magnets with flexible extensions, that might work. Auto parts stores & Sears carry them.

Or leave it out

Mine has been like that for about 8 years and hasn't been a problem

^That's what I did. I dropped it, and it wasn't worth the hassle to retrieve it.
Besides, I take out/install my head unit so often that it's one less (annoying) step I need to do
