Hey guys, my name's Brandon, I'm 18, live in Norfolk, VA, and just got my first rx8 today (not my first car). it's an 05 with 63k miles, grey, and so far I love it. Along with the car, the dealer gave me a very nice 5 year 100k mile warranty and lifetime labor. I have a few questions as to if certain noises, etc are normal, I'd like to just ask em up here instead of having to make a new thread in the right spot so if somebody could give me the go ahead , I just dunno if it's ok or not lol

I see quetsions up on this area of the forum so I am just going to go ahead and ask em, first of all, idle is shaky not ALL the time but i notice it as soon as i shift into drive from park, haven't tried straight from reverse yet, and also haven't tried shifting straight into triptronic mode either. im getting everything checked on monday and oil changed and will go ahead and get him to clean my maf and AIN i believe it is? also, what brand and also sub-brand, I.E. flowmaster 40 series of the flowmasters, would give my 8 a very, very nice tune to it? im taking major advantage of that lifetime labor warranty, believe me. And along with new mufflers I need a new intake so the air to fuel ratio isnt wacked out and so I dont start burning rich so what would be a good site or brand cold air intake to buy?

I can tell that you haven't looked all that carefully

... considering that it's at the top of this subforum, linked in quite a few member signatures, linked in the announcement at the top of the subforum... and just to help you along even further, it's in my signature below this post.

i have another problem..i think. i got my car back after a week at the body shop, they were getting dents out that were there before i bought it, and when i got it back, it started up fine, i let the engine warm up, took it to get some gas, then once i tried to start it up after putting it at full..it wouldnt start..so I cranked the key a second time and it started after about 3-4 seconds..any ideas? I'm thinking its a bad cat, haven't checked ot see if its extremely hot though but the exhaust is giving me a puttering sound like its clogged and i do have a rough idle. Guess I'm gettin a new cat
