new to rx8 i bought a 2004 :) need help

Hi i need some help with my 2004 mazda rx8 first one ever so idk much about them..the guys i got it from have a mess with the wiring because of a sound system that they had well...now the cd stereo and the clock dont work i checked fuses and connectors they are all fine has anyone had this problem?
