New battery doesn't mean charged battery. What does the mechanic have to say about this? Why did the car need him in the first place? Can you describe exactly what the problem is?

Never fear, Jedi is here!

Morning Eddie, where abouts in Southern California are you?
I'd be happy to point you in the right direction as there are several great Rotary shops in the OC / LA area

go see Master Yoshiya at NeptuneSpeed in Huntington Beach.
Call ahead if possible as he's a one man shop but he does excellent work and has been working on my car (and several others) since 2005 .

NepTune SPEED - Garage RX (RX-7/RX-8)

tell him "George" with the black RX-8 sent you and you'll be in good hands.

just depends on what is wrong.
have you gotten the car started? What exactly is the current status / condition of the vehicle?

What did the mechanic replace?

If the starter and battery is good, this leaves compression, ignition system and fuel delivery.

Have you had a rotary-specific compression test? I'd imagine the shop Jedi mentioned has a specialized tester.

How old are the coils and spark plugs?

Dude, take a deep breath.

If you want help, you need to tell us the following:
  • why the car went into the shop
  • what the mechanic's diagnosis was
  • what the mechanic did to the car
  • and what the current status of the car is

Answer all four of those questions in detail.

Just typing "I crank the ignition and their isn’t any power" is completely useless.
You turn the key and what happens?
Does the car crank at all? If it does crank, does it crank at normal speed? If it doesn't crank, is there any sound at all?
If it does crank, does it start? Does it run?
