started today early and with a angle grinder to the mainfold.





it was just 5 mins of grinding then back to the porting bits.

 

you can see the factory mainfold porting leading into to open round pipe, and the size of the air injection ports.


and the starting point, just to show how cheep these header are and what is required to make it just close to factory performance.

 

Tomorrow's job is too have a look with fresh eyes and more work on the manifold.

The rest of today job is to finish cleaning the engine and gasket, I will be reusing the muti layer exhaust gasket + sealant to make sure it air tight.

only 1hr of cleaning up ports, wash then install of the exhaust mainfold.
Clearanced the engine mount.

 

Hello again,


seat mod has happened to lower the seat bottom,
by unbolting the seat base and moving the rear mounts to the top side and long bolts back through the nut with a locking nut underneath.
i got about a inch of extra head room so now i can sit in the car with a helmet on, sitting upright.

 

so the gearbox is back in and it's jammed in reverse, something happened in the install stage, so gearbox back out is the next step to fix reverse.
but i had some mirrors turn up and went down with the flu.
but these are the mirrors.











next is paint for the mirrors or a wrap.
