Have a 2004 rx8 with 51,200 miles. Purchased 5/29 from PA Auto Select in Downingtown. Drove home then on Friday night light came on. Came back to Downingtown today had tech look at said had a code p2259 related to air pump. He cleared code and was told if came back to come back. Drove home as I approach light back on??! Car was driving good but this continues to be an issue. Car is auto with grand touring. Will I continue to further damage things by driving? I can't get back to shop till next week. Appreciate any info. Thanks.

That said, to answer your questions:
If the car is driving fine, you're probably fine. If it's throwing any other codes, you should have it checked. If you can't get back to the dealer, take it to autozone and have them pull the code for you. They'll do it for free. You can check for any other codes that way as well.

This isn't the air pump. It's the AIR solenoid, which is apparently used to control emissions.
