I just wanted to briefly introduce myself. I joined RX8club back in 2004 when I wanted an new RX8. I never made a single post. I ended up with a Volvo S60R instead. I drove it for a few years, and then bought an 93 FD and became pretty active on RX7club for a few years until I sold it in Sept 2013. From there I bought a 2003 Corvette ZO6 which is awesome but I drive it very little. I plan on keeping it and hopefully getting an RX-8 as a semi-daily driver that I can fit my wife and two daughters in. In high school I had a 1980 RX-7 GS, manual which is where I learned to love cars and mechanical stuff. In college I bought two 91 FC convertibles. I always wanted a TurboII but I never got one.

I've never posted here and now I'm planning to post a WTB ad in the classifieds section as soon as I get my post count up.

I'm hoping to find a real nice Series 1 with good records. Not crazy about the appearance of the Series 2. I miss having a rotary vehicle and I need something safe that I can both enjoy driving and take the family with me places.

I hope this forum is as good as RX7club, I really enjoyed being a part of it.

 

Welcome. I also owned a few 7's in the past, including a TII, which also got me interested in engines and mechanics. Never owned an FD though.

What are you looking for in an rx8? Any particular color? Style?

I'm (once again) selling mine, but I haven't made it official yet. Check it out and shoot me a pm if you're interested. I know it's far, but with our Canadian dollar being so low...

Thanks for the welcome. I will check out your car. As far as the RX8 I would be happy with a sport, but I'm sure I'd enjoy the features of a GT. My main requirements are 6-speed, ownership history, and hopefully find someone willing to provide recent compression numbers. I was hoping to stick with colors that don't really stand out. One can only be too picky when looking at used vehicles though.
