New member trying to join in the CLUB!

Hey im a new member trying to join in the club!
i am 19 this october and i been owning a rx7 (1990) since 15 that i've been working at my moms Chicken restaurant for. Recently my friend had blew out my transmission and i decided to just keep it to restore in the future. But until then, i had put down a down payment on a used rx8 from the dealer.
I drive a Mazda Rx8 2009 sport base model. I get about 20mpg on the highway and 17 in the city. Thats pretty low, for a person like myself. I have limited spending money and top of that i drive a Rotary..lol
But i love it:D

CA

i have been driving my Rx8 for about a full year now..
Finally the alternator and radiator is giving out...
i know im new here, and i find it alittle bit difficult to find all the threads that i need..
im looking for "How to keep rx8 maintained" and "What do i need to keep rx8 maintained" im trying to build the most reliable Rx8 anybody has seen.
Including oil catcher, silicone hoses, stronger radiator, stronger air filter, heavy duty clutch and etc..

Welcome. You will have to take most of the experience and knowledge from your FC and toss it out of the window with the RX-8.

For starters, please read the New Owner's Start Here thread. It covers most of what you are looking for, including the first post providing the best method of searching the site effectively.

The mileage you are getting looks pretty solid to me. You could get another 2-3mpg on the highway with careful and steady driving, but that city mpg tells me that everything is healthy with your engine and powertrain sensors at the moment.

CA my rx8

My rx8 i copped it at a dealership that was used once by a leaser.
i put down about 7k and pay 250 a month..(is it worth it?)
maybe...
It is Dark charcoal gray Base model. 6speed 2009.
i also owned a Rx7 1990 FC. The first thing i noticed when i drove the rx8 was, it had the same similar steering feel i felt the moment i drove my fc. That proved to me that the rx8 is awesome at curving through corners and gripping.
The feeling of driving makes me feel like a race car driver..i did practice kicking clutches with my fc. im wondering to death if the rx8 would slide better?
ahha well, i'll see

No, the RX-8 is not nearly as good of a drifter as the FC. Lots more grip, lots less torque.
