New member introduction and a RX8 question.
Hi all,
Time to make myself known, whilst not yet a bona fide RX8 owner, it's certainly going to happen - As a side project I've decided to build one for my wife as a daily driver.
I'd like to kick off my education here with a discussion about what aspects of the RX8 you think that Mazda could have done better at the expense of a higher price point, in my reading here it looks like the coil packs are one of them - what else is there?

Thanks for that, I'd already read the New & Potential owners thread, but the second one is also a goldmine of info!
Another question along similar lines as my first, are there any particular stock parts that I should keep my eye out for as being prone to breakage, and in turn hard to find in good condition? ie. Stereo trim plastics, lighting components, etc?
If it makes any difference, the bulk of our RX8 here are ex-Japan.

Welcome.
Some of the common defects are sun visors breaking, tail light condensation, and climate control boards going bad and needing to be re-soldered.
Dash board cracking is fairly common also.
