Decat no cel
did a decat (bhr midpipe) about a week and a half ago. I drove the car a few times throughout the week but never threw a cel. I am just surprised by this because every thing I read said no cat = cel. I'm totally okay with this but just seams unusual. Got me questioning if cel light doesn't work, bad wiring or lights on dash are not working but seems like all others work. Just curious if possible issues with the light it self and again totally okay with no cel from decat just more worried about the lights condition because I was expecting one. Thanks in advance.

Yeah, it's weird.
Sometimes I'll go weeks without one, sometimes it's every few days.
Pops up a lot on extended road trips.

The CEL turns on when you turn the ignition to the ON position so you will know if it's working.
I know some mid-pipes for other cars have a "bung" you can adjust to make the CEL go away. You have to keep messing around with it. Sometimes you get the CEL quickly, sometimes you never get, other times it shows up after a couple of hundred miles like it did for my friend.

Mine appeared within 50 miles for the catalyst. The smell is awful and seems to creep into the car when the windows are down (even at speed), despite not feeling any air leaks around the flanges of the manifold and midpipe. Going to source an aftermarket metal substrate cat that will hopefully cope with the heat.

I think the only track-proven option at this point is from HJS, which is quite expensive. Everything else is a bit of a tossup. The general rule is that if the cat's cheaper than the OEM, it won't last.

Okay so might just take a while to come on makes sense. But when I turn the key to the on position as unknownJinx was saying all other lights come on but no cel. So I'm assuming that it's not working any tips on where to start

Assuming everything else in the cluster works, the bulb could have burnt out. Not very common, but it could happen.
I'd double check the fuses(likely not the cause, but doesn't hurt to check), and then I'd take the cluster out. From there, you could do another check by applying 9V to the pins that power the CEL(check the wiring diagram). If the light doesn't come on, you either have to solder on another LED bulb or replace the whole thing.
