is it all the time or just some times? Give some description of where it is and when it happens. Car year, transmission.

Random knocking sounds is not a common problem people have. Just a random guess. If it shakes at idle and the knock is when driving hard and around shifting it is your motor mounts.

 

It a 2005 rx8 with a manual shifter. I can hear the knock while idle but it intensify every time I shift and release the clutch.
