New to the Forum, Rx-8 purchased today

Hey all,

I am new to the forum, but not so new to Mazdas. I sold my 06 Speed3 about a year ago and went to a 4runner, and now converted back to cars with an 04 rx-8 6 speed in the beautiful color of "cops love me" red. I will upload pics tonight or tomorrow, but I wanted to make a post and introduce myself and say a HUGE SHOUTOUT to 04Green for an amazing post for beginners. It has opened my eyes to Rx-8s and a few quick changes for $100 I can knock out next weekend.

Is there anything with a rotary I need to be more aware of from your standpoint? I have always stayed away from them, not out of skepticism, but just never had the opportunity to own one until now. Any info would be appreciated.

Do I need to start saving my money for any insane tune ups or repairs that may come up??

04 RX-8
87,669 miles
6 speed

No knowledge of what previous owner may have done as far as upkeep, but all seems to be in order. I hope............
