FL New to the forum, Not to Mazdas

Hey guys/ gals,

My name is Erick and I live in Miami Beach, Fl. 23 years old and I currently own a 95 M Edition Miata. I've had the car for the past two years and at this point I'm looking for another car to fill the comfy daily driver status and leave the Miata for fun days/ auto-x and some track days.

The engine is being built by Curtis at Motion Motorsports here in Miami. Cannot say enough good things about his quality of work
Here's the finished head.

Her name is Mica, and she's currently having an engine put together cause the one it had in her over heated and died

Meet Mica
94 Block/ 99 ported head
Supertech oversized and forged high comp pistons
Super tech valvesprings and titanium retainers
Arp studs and rod bolts

I also did good amount of ground work to it to handle how I want it to
Buddy Club RSD coilovers with stance top hats and fcm bump stops
Swift 9/7 springs
Poly Bushings/ bigger front sway/ short endlinks and new ball joints, wheel bearings and ss brake lines with motul fluid.

Engines almost ready and I'm running out of time borrowing a mazda 3 for the daily drive. I figured the car is still going to face downtime due to the ITB install, break in, tuning and other **** it still needs so I might as well look for something I can finance for fairly cheap.

Funnily enough I was considering and RX8 a few years ago and even made one into my wall paper but I just never even went to test drive one cause I figured it was out of my price range.

But last month I took my buddy's Shinka edition RX8 for a spin and pretty much fell in love with the Rotary smoothness and sound with his Headers and Exhaust system. And once I checked second hand RX8 prices I figured I'll make it happen soon.

I've been reading around the FAQ and it's awesome how much info you've guys compiled. Trying to take as much of it in as I can and shop around for a good deal.

Leaning towards the cloth interior with a 6-speed with fairly low miles.

Thanks in advanced for looking

Is there a hurricane coming on the 2nd picture? lol

Anyway, this is not a Miata site, but all Mazda is welcome, including my Mazda 6...

If you get the right car, you won't regret it.

You need to read the whole post before you make such a statement. I highlighted the relevant part for you.

I've read it all. I just ask the op that all Mazda is welcome even though you don't have an rx8 yet. I know the op is looking for an rx8 soon...that's all.

Picked up this beauty a few years after starting this thread. 2010 S2 Sport model. Picked it up with 25800 on the ODO. I was not prepared for the amount of fuel these things drink. I do love it, however.

After driving two days I made it to GA for a re-fuel and Carwash.

Congrats.
You gotta pay to play.

I had an NA Montego Blue many years ago. I like to get an ND one day. But NC prices make them good value propositions.

Beautiful color.

I got a titanium grey a few years ago and the fuel mileage is abysmal
