New coils, spark plugs, and wires

Got my 8 about 3 months ago and just now changed all the coils, wires, and plugs and WOW! these changes make a huge effect on the performance of the car. Very pleased with it and this forum which guided me through everything I needed!

Good to hear.
Did you get any misfires or CELs previously?
If so, you should get your cat checked
to be sure it's not damaged.

almost same story here! figured i'd add to your post instead of start a new identical thread

just did mine last night! new coils plugs and wires, took about 2 hours and i am NOT mechanically inclined at all!!!

very pleased with the result, power was really sluggish before, lots of misfires on rotor 2 and horrible gas mileage, i feel like i unlocked 30 horsepower from the burnt coils and plugs.

what a great feeling

I haven't had any misfires that I know of. I've kept up with the oil as well to make sure it doesn't get too low. I love this car!!

If you guys are not opposed to it, I'd recommend taking the cats off if you still have them.

I'm doing it tonight, gonna gut it, it's throwing a P0420 code anyways, and i'm just out of the federal emissions warranty.

should be a good time

but the end result will be worth it, for how bad my cat is

Take your sensor out first so you don't damage it in case you need to get another cat.
