New Clutch Suggestions?

So my clutch just went out on me and I was wondering if I could get any recommendation for a new clutch? Preferably something good that also isn't to expensive.

2004 Mazda rx8

Thanks

That depends largely on the intended use and the power levels your at but OE is quite capable for most applications and cost effective. Send me an email to Sales@RX8Performance.com and I will get you a quote if you like.

Thanks, Scott

The OEM clutch is the best bet and cheaping out (Ebay clutches) on a clutch is not ideal unless you like dropping the trans again. email charles@blackhaloracing.com for the best price that includes the HD throw out bearing.

The stock clutch is rated for way more than a NA Renesis can throw at it. I have been turbocharged for 6 years or so on the stock Exedy clutch.

Do your homework before you order from anyone.

For a Stock-ish daily driver, The basic Exedy clutch (10803A) is typically going to be your best bet, can be found for around $350. (i believe Exedy makes the OEM one)

If you want a little bit more of a "Performance feel", their next step up RACING Stage Clutch Kit (10812), may suit you. I ran it on my '04, it was really "grabby", but i didn't mind it for daily driving.

be warned, if you end up not liking the feel, you're gonna have to repeat this whole process and go back to the stock version, and that's a big chunk o change...

Also: unless you're replacing it, make sure to get your flywheel resurfaced. no if's and's or butts
