Where are you located?

I'd go with these coils because... You know... Look at them...

I live in Charlotte, NC
But as far as the coils and plugs what's the price difference in sakebomb and BHR

The sake bomb is a newer product than the BHR.
The BHR coil is a GM coil, the sake bomb is a Mercury coil.
Some claim the Mercury coil is better, from what I've read, it appears to be.
Their web site lists a kit for RX7 FDs for $685, and an RX8 wire harness for $230.

Whatever you do, set aside some money for the unexpected. The RX-8 is not a cheap car to own.

I can't justify the price in my mind.
Especially if the harness is required.(not sure)
If it is, it's $915.
That's pretty steep.

Yeah I think I'll just stick with BHRs kit. Seems to get the job done and is cheaper

I think that's the right choice.
There are a few members who tune their 8s that have talked about the dwell needing to be adjusted with the BHR, but for stock applications it's fine.

If you're talking just getting the job done, buy a set of OEM "C"

Reading back, you should check to be sure it had the PCM reflashed, and the upgraded starter.
The reflash was I believe a recall.
Don't remember if the starter was.
Somewhere here there is a list of the recalls and TSBs issued for '04s.
It would be a good idea to look into that before you get it back.

I looked up the recalls, it was air bags, lower control arms, heat insulator, and something else. Didn't see anything about those things you listed

I'm using my phone at work.
Try Google RX8 CLUB '04 PCM Reflash and one for upgraded starter.
It's been covered.

Call your closest dealer with your VIN.

They should be able to tell you what recalls were completed or not completed.

Do I really need to upgrade my starter if mine is working fine? Is that something highly recommended

I subscribe to the theory that "if it ain't broke, it don't need fixin'."

For recall info go here:
https://vinrcl.safercar.gov/vin/vinLookup

That site will tell you what recalls are outstanding for your vehicle. If it comes up empty then all recalls for your car have been performed.
