Need to buy MT Driveshaft

The u-Joints in my '04 Manual Trans RX8 are very notchy at about 125K Miles, so I think I need another driveshaft. Used seems to be the way to go, based on price. My options:

Craigslist: One in my area, but the seller was a no-show yesterday where he told me to meet.

Ebay: I ask sellers if the u-joints are smooth and get a vague answer. One seller even put me on his blocked bidder list for asking. I may buy and hope for the best, return if bad u-joints but it may take a long time to get it right.

RX8 Club WTB classified: not enough posts from me yet.

So, if anyone has a used manual trans driveshaft with smooth u-joints that they want to sell me , let me know. I am at zip code 60089 and use paypal.

Got one, arrived today. Now I am wondering if I misdiagnosed the u-joints as 'bad'. The one that arrived (a used one) is same as the one that came out of the car. The joints do not have any looseness or excessive play, but on both ends of the shaft the joints have like a detent when in the straight ahead position. They stay in this straight ahead position and there is a notchiness to moving them off-axis. Once past the notch, they move smoothly.

Since the shaft stays pretty straight in the application, maybe this is normal? Has anyone had a RX8 dirveshaft out of their car and had smooth non-notchy u-joint movement?

i checked mine for you and it was smooth, tight and cups in good shape. that being said it you move it to its farthest points (like square on square parts) its somehwat notchy but its nor designed to move at the limit of travel

Thanks for checking yours. These are 'stuck' when perfectly straight. It takes some force to get them 'unstuck' and then the rest of their motion is smooth. They are tight and otherwise seem to be in good shape.
