Navigation Components
Ive searched through as many post as I could find regarding stock navigation. Can someone please help me with a complete list of all parts to the stock navigation system, I am taking one out of a donor car Monday and want to make sure I get all parts to the system. As well as Location and possibly a schematic or pic of parts. I'd like to instal it into my car and want to have everything from a-z. your help is greatly appreciated and if i somehow missed the info I'm looking for on a thread I apologize but I don't think there is a a post with what I'm asking for. again many thankss

Year?
You might be able to find some information in the Service Manual.

Just curious: why do you plan on installing a factory system? I have it(touch screen unit from Series 2) and it's really showing its age. Support is non-existent nowadays; last update you can find is from like 5 years ago.
It's much more cost-effective to get an aftermarket unit. Also much easier to install.

To be honest until today I didnt realize there was so much **** that went along with it. I've see ads where ppl were doing tablet upgrades and really never thought too much about it. Then I found a donor car today and can get setup cheap so I figured I'd go go it and its seeming that I should get the hood and upgrade and be much better off. Thank you for the link

If you want to install a tablet, I feel like all you need is the hood, the motor, and a switch to control it. You then hardwire the tablet and use it like a touch screen unit.
