Hey guys and girls, I'm looking to buy the navigation system. All i ask is that its in good condition and that all the parts need to install are equipped. Thanks again.

it will be cheaper for all the parts to get an aftermarket indash solution and the corksport kit, and much cheaper on the install as well. to do the factory nav, you need to get a complete harness, nav hood, nav drive, gps antenna. then you gotta take practically the entire interior apart to install.

You'll be able to find the individual nav parts (screen, dash assembly, controls, dvd drive, etc.). The problem is that you'll need to get the navigation verison of the car wiring harness and be able to swap it with your harness. Unless there is an easier way that I'm unaware of?

If those parts are new, that isn't bad at all I'd think. Since you've bought them already, would you mind posting exactly what parts the dealer had you buy? I'm curious if they're replacing the wiring harness and such..

me too, though you could still have gotten a better nav system, better radio with more features for at least 15% less than 2k installed. and your entire interior wouldnt need to be taken apart

sorry about the late response. I had it done at Open Road Mazda Of Morristown, it was actually a little more than i expected close to 3 grand, the tech told me since I didn't buy my car with the navigation they actually had to rip open everything and re-wire my unit so the navigation could work. I'll post pictures soon, not like you guys havent seen the navigation system before haha...

sorry you took such a big hit. as i stated earlier, you could have gotten a better performing radio in your 8, with nav, mp3, etc for at least 1/3 less with install, and you wouldnt have to deal with the possiblility of rattles coming from all the panels that had to be removed and reinstalled.
