I recently had someone try and break into my car and they did not accomplish getting in, plus i have no alarm because of broke college student probs. Well i decided ill be fixing it my self since it appears that they did the ball trick or something because the lock its self just went into the door handle and into the door. So i opened up the door and reput the lock back into place. but now its not the same. theres a pinkish, tanish (im probably color blind) piece that makes the hook looking rod go in with pressure and stays there for when the locking or unlocking mechanism goes up and down. Well that piece is not as good no more and the rod slips out when i lock or unlock the door. Does anyone know where i can find the part number for this or the name of it? Its the driver side door on an 04 rx8 if that helps, Thanks.

I would check MazMart. They are a vendor here and do used parts.

You might need to get the assembly.

Other option is call the local dealer, sometimes they stock things down to the insane level.
