ok, I feel kind of dumb to ask it, but I just got my RX8 and it have a Mazdaspeed cold air intake, I can't access the filter from anywhere, I looked on the web and all I can find is how to install a CAI in a RX8.

But after installing it, if you want to clean the filter how do you get to it???

You have to remove the bumper every time??

 

Removing the bumper takes maybe 10 minutes. How often do you plan to clean your filter?

 

Well, I hope more often then the previous owner, he thought Mazda was doing it when he had his annual ´full services’... so it potentially was never cleaned in 15 years, can’t wait to see how bad it is!

 

pretty sure you just drop the center undertray off from underneath and will have clear access to it.
