Hi all,

For the last couple of months of owning my 2003 RX-8, I have been facing a grinding/MIAC/pinging/detonation sound from 7k+ RPM.

Remedies i’ve tried to no success:
- I run 98 octane fuel (aus)
- Replacement of Coils, Leads and Plugs with NGK kit
- Cleaned MAF
- Upgraded Fuel Pump with Walbro 255lph
- Installed coolant restrictor orifice as well, as mentioned in previous MIAC threads.

I’ll also mention I am running an AEM CAI, and have been recently considering switching to the RB Revi Intake.

However, i’m a bit stumped here, not really sure where to go from here, should I give in and take it to a shop? More than willing to get my own hands dirty first before emptying my wallet haha.
