Mass air flow sensor

Has anyone here taken this out and sprayed it with the Mass Airflow Sensor Spray? I recently took my 05 RX-8 to my mechanic I have been having the engine light coming up. Prior to washing the car cause he said that could throw off the sensor and also its not the gas cap. The car has been to Mazda 2x and they worked on tweaking or fixing any issues. I had two floodings since I owned it. I want to try this MAF sensor spray. Going to pick some up this week. Is it really that hard to find? Has someone did all of this and put up video and pics with their RX-8? I couldn't find the vid online and I also am not allowed to post in the DIY yet. Any help is appreciated.

Good search. Congrats..

That, and several other good DIYs are in the Congrats thread below.

For the MAF, just do not poke the wires with the straw.

We need the codes. Autozone will read them for you for free.

You can use regular contact cleaner spray on your MAF sensor. You don't need to hunt down MAF cleaner.

AH, but the MAF Cleaner can say good for 6 HP. I used it 3 times.....

But yeah, electrical contact cleaner will work too.
