Low Power Up Hill

Hi all, any help would be great.
crashed my very first RX-8, was a dream of a car... anyway I bought another, and here is my issue.
when climbing a hill and sinking the boot the power pick up seems to be very slow, I have to bring the car up to nearly 4K revs just to take off, then it slowly builds power. Seems to be ok on flat ground, just hills seems to be an issue. It's also not as clean to start, it trundles to a start and shudders no sometimes cut out.
I'm thinking it could be fuel pump maybe?!?!

I've literally just sat into it and brought it for a spin, only just got it. I'm fairly new to RX8's

read all the new owners threads, then kick yourself in the *** for not reading them before you bought not one (crashed) but two of them

Think you've misread that. I crashed it, I didn't but it crashed. It was a dream of a car before I crashed it, then I got rid of it after the crash and bought another one, this one though has the power lag issue 😄
