Low coolant warning light

My low coolant light has been on since I bought it, about 2 months ago. So the first thing I did when I got home was change out the old coolant with new coolant. Same result the light was still on. I have been driving it around like that since I bought it. How do I get the light to go away. And should I keep driving it like that

Common failure point, the coolant level sensor in the overflow tank. The fix is to replace the overflow tank, it;s about $150 from Mazda. Careful when you change it, there is a plastic nipple on the radiator that is very easy to break off, resulting in the need for a new radiator. But if you're careful, it's fine.

Use a sharp knife or razor blade to slice and 'peel' the hose off.

So I'm guessing it's not a big deal driving it like that just got to keep an eye out on the coolant regularly?

Depends.
Would you rather spend $150 and fix it right, or risk spending $5000 on a rebuilt engine?

If you develop a leak in your system on the road one day and start losing coolant, the only way you'll know is if you notice the temp gauge climbing, or see steam coming out of your hood.
Either way, the engine is already overheating, and that can wreck your engine.

Coolant overflow bottle. It includes the sensor and the sensor can't be bought separately as far as I know.

If the light bothers you just unplug the sensor that's what I did of course if I get a leak and overheat it's really no big deal to me though

Loki is correct , you have to buy the sensor and coolant bottle as one piece together. Mazmart is a good source. I went without replacing the bad sensor for a few months, but it wasn't worth the worry that I might miss a low coolant situation between checks, so i sprung for the coolant bottle and sensor. A better decision.
