Loss of power, max 5000 rpm

Oh boy, here we go. I bought my 2004 Eight at an auction and haven't had it running right yet. I was able to start it up just fine but it had a serious lack of power, max 25 mph giving it full throttle. It threw a SSV code (don't remember the number) so I pulled the SSV and cleaned it, it was really nasty. Got everything installed correctly but had had a few beers as I was finishing up and crossed the wires for the battery. The key was not in the ignition at the time. The car wouldn't start so I tracked the problem down to the starter. The plastic covers on the leads had melted and the contacts were severely burnt/coroded. I wire brushed them and it started right up. Now I still have the lack of power but I'm getting a different code, p0562, low voltage. The battery is putting out plenty of power. Everything seems to work correctly. The only problem is the lack of power. After a bit of research, I'm going to check the room fuse tomorrow and break open the ECM to check the connections. Any other ideas as to what could be causing my loss of power? Thanks for any help and/or advice.

Start there pal, get a compression test done ASAP and check all you plugs coils wires and condition of the catalytic converter.

First of all, you bought the car in an auction, plus you don't know what your getting into with those cars specially auctioned vehicles. Secondly, i know you did not have a compression test done on the engine, because if so, you may need a new engine (reman), and its expensive. Third, check your catalytic converter for issues. Last but not least, i think you need a tune-up, replace the coils, plugs, and wires. Try and do those things and it might help with your issues your having, good luck!

I fixed it! I wish I could say I was some sort of genius but I simply replaced the room fuse, which had a 20a fuse in it, with the proper 15a fuse. I finally drove it at full power. This car is ehfing sick!
