Looking to refresh my 8
Hey everyone! After coming to this site often for advice, I finally decided to join. I have owned the vehicle for about 7 years now and looking to do some refresh work and possible enhancements to the look of the vehicle. Going to leave everything stock as far as performance is concerned for the time being. Here is what i am looking for and anyone who could point me in the right direction, it would be much appriciated.
- passenger side dash cover. Mine has split dead center like and I on it's side. Looking to replace or advice to repair.
- center console slide cover. It is a little scratched up, nothing too serious. Repair or replace.
- driver side rear bumper body kit flare. Looks like a tab used to connect it to the underside has snapped. Willing to buy entire kit if only option, am considering two tone anyway.
- new rims. This is my daily driver and am considering purchasing new rims and use the older ones to put winter tires on for quick change out during seasons.
And one last question, kind of in the area of performance. K&N washable filter, good idea or not? I have read that a lot of people prefer the stock air box and filter media over after markets. Just want to know if investing it into a daily driver due to it's ability to be cleaned won't rob performance. Thank in advance for any and all input!

thanx
Thank you for the welcome. First, I did read the new members section, if I violated a rule, please tell me. Secondly I did query my questions, and I noticed that maybe I wasn't clear on exactly the info I wanted. Really was just putting out there to see if there are good and reliable sites/vendors out there. I have been to a few links provided, but really can't find much feedback on them. Just wanted to know who is buying quality parts and where they are getting them from. I didn't see the dash thread before that I just found in the query that you suggested I do, so I will query the rest. In regards to the body kit part, I could only find info on stock parts of the base trim as of yet. I bought the car with the kit on, and I assume it was OEM. Again, thanx for the welcome and advice.

The vendors are all listed on this site, but as for the airbag cover(dashboardcover) and the sliding arm rest, your best bet would be look in the for sale section or ebay
2004 2008 Mazda RX 8 Arm Rest Front | eBay
04 Mazda RX 8 Airbag Passenger Dashboard Cover | eBay
Im not sure what part of the bumper you are referring to, exhaust shrouds possible?
oh and stock air box is better then K&N drop in search for the stock airbox mod for removing the internal walls

Ugh.... Ebay. I have had mixed results with just about anything I ever got from there, but I will give it further consideration. As far as the bumper piece, it is a little extension just behind the tire. I am assuming it is part of the grand touring kit, but I could be wrong. Not the 1st time and def won't be the last. Lol. I would take a pic, but my wife currently has the car. Putting new brakes and rotors on her SUV later today. She should be home in a couple hours, so if you need a pic, i will take one and post once she arrives.

I bet the reason you had a hard time is because the top pic is a "mudflap" while the bottom pic the one you need is a "rear aero flare"
