Hi everyone,

I was introduced to the forum on Reddit where I made a post regarding a potential project car. I'm from the UK and there are some really cheap versions of this car going around different sites.
I was hoping to get some opinions on the sound of the engine since the owner isn't able to do a compression test. I've always been a fan of rotary engines but have never owned one myself. I've heard they require a bit of work to keep but I'm prepared to put that work in to make this car something fun.
The car is pretty cheap (£650) but needs some work done, so I will probably barter for cheaper maybe £400 or even cheaper.

The vehicle I'm looking at is a 2007, rx8-kuro with 54kmiles.

the owner has sent me some videos of the engine starting and revving but I think it sounds a little off, the owner states "Yeah it's the exhaust, it's rotten and blowing like mad"
A few Reddit users have given some feedback on the vehicle and most of them don't seem to like the sound, and I was advised to ask here as well for a final opinion.
an engine rebuild is something id like to do myself eventually but id like to actually drive the car for at least 20kmiles and progressively repair the car until then, does this seem like it's worth the risk?
