depends on the engine code. do you know exactly what the engine codes were? it could be the gas cap, but it could also be something on the motor.

also sometimes, the evap code wont show ready to pass if the catalytic fails.

 

Hey guys I’m facing a new problem, my screen above my head unit doesn’t respond anymore like I go to switch the air where it’s going and it just says it’s facing towards me but it does change. Also my ac light doesn’t light up anymore and the air light doesn’t work anymore either when trying to switch between them.

 

The data on that display as well as the A/C controls are run through the head unit. Dumb design in my opinion but I digress.

If you head over to the interior forum for Series 1 there should be a forum post about head unit issues. My assumption is that your faceplate is unseated from the headunit. Or if not, that your headunit may be bad. I had an issue where the screen, a/c, and radio all didn't work. Tried reseating the connection, and checking for any faceplate damage after confirming my voltages with no luck. A junkyard headunit pull fixed all three issues.

 

Just unplugged and re plugged in all the cables and now it works good. Do you know how i can have access to series one troubleshooting?
