Cool Joined in 2013 and just picked up my first RX-8 (SoCal) VEILSIDE! LIGHTNING YELLOW!

What's up everyone!

Joined the forum back in 2013 in Junior year of high school and always loved the RX-8. Just picked one up a few days ago here in SoCal now that I'm able to afford the upkeep.

Purchased it from the original owner who's had it since 2003.

Lot's of nice upgrades including the Veilside body kit, Tanabe electronic dampening adjustable coilovers, Greddy braces and exhaust system, street port and more.

The car is a 2004 Lightning Yellow Grand Touring. It has 91,377 miles. 0 accidents.

Just thought I'd share this gem with everyone. Feel free to ask any questions! Enjoy the photos!

How's she run? If ported...how many miles on replaced engine?

Good looking specimen. Congrats!

congrats, not too many lightning yellows out in good condition out in the wild anymore.
Honestly never been the biggest fan of the Veilside kit as it's a little too aggressive for my tastes but I think if you added some side skirts it could look nice.
Any further plans for the car?
oh and where'd the side markers go.

Lastly, what part of SoCal?

Runs great! Previous owner said it was rebuilt at 75K miles.

Just had the plugs, coils, wires and oil changed.

Had them run a compression test have to find the repair order and double check the numbers. It was something like 87-91-88 84-82-83

It’s super Japanese I love it. Definitely not for everyone.

Plan on changing the wheels at some point and getting more comfortable with it before doing too many mods.

Previous owner said the markers had issues fitting so he never finished installing them. I’ll fix that later.
