Yup, yellow rocks! I love yellow on sports cars. Mazda has done it again, just like the 3rd Gen RX-7 and the Miata, yellow was limited to a one year run. Our cars will be a little more collectable now for the future RX-8 yellow wannabees.

I see that they now offer Hunter Green, though. My old MX-6 was that color, and I love it.

If I'd been able to get my 8 in that color, I would have.

Oh well.

Right. Canada and US websites still reflect the '04 year, once the '05 update is done to the websites, yellow will be gone. If they don't offer it in Japan, they won't offer it anywhere else.

I would love a Yellow RX8 if it wasn't for stupid people who would try to waive at my car thinking it was a taxi. I used to have a Yellow CRX and it got very annoying. So I am guessing the yellow will have a better resale and collectors value now.

I had my pick of crop in February when I got mine. They had every single color all loaded with every single option and different interior color choices. In fact they had over 80 to chose from. The Yellow was just too loud for me, but I know 10 years ago I would have considered it. I ended up going with black, but since I plan on trading this car in for the mazdaspeed in 3 years or so, I really don't care about rarity. For those of you yellow owners who will keep car forever, congrats, and enjoy your future rarity.

Yellow is a happy calming colour and a lot of the older RX8 owners who are confident with who they are end up buying them , unfortunetily they buy Autos as they cant drive stick .

I personally never buy a crappy AUTO in a rotary engine rotary and Automatics dont gel .

cheers

I live in between NYC and Philadelphia, and I searched the inventory and it has 70 of them left, and 10 of them are autos. Still time to get one new, especially if you want to be different and have a future collector car. Personally I want one in every color.

The value to me as an owner is not so much in its money re-sale terms but the fact that not every Tom Dick Harry or Mohammed is driving a yellow one .

The value is in its rarity .

cheers

The yellow is/was so damn cool!!

I got the red, but everytime I see the yellow at the dealership, I gawk at it.

Now.. what's this about Hunter Green??? ...oh, is that just 'Nordic'?
