Installing Bluetooth/AUX

Hi,

I have a 2006 GT with Satnav and the 6 CD changer. My radio is on 9.81 which I understand affects a lot of the compatibility in terms of aftermarket adapters including the GROM kit.

Does anybody have any advice on what my options are and if I'll lose functionality of the CD changer.

Kind regards,
Gary

My low tech favorite is to add the $40 Griffin iTrip AUX Bluetooth to the cig lighter under the handrest and be done. Have two of these in two cars - works great.

Hi,

I did have a look but I can't seem to find a definitive answer. Some people say I'd lose functionality of the CD changer, some mention the sat nav will lose it's ability to speak etc

Awesome, cheers for the reply. Does this work if your radio is on 9.81 do you know?

Cheers,
Gary

IIRC, the iTrip just plugs into an existing AUX port so it will work with any car that has one. If your stereo doesn't have an AUX port, you'll have to fix that.

The AUX port CD hack works really well, the post above is a great tutorial that I've done myself and it was crazy cheap.
