my 04 rx8 for some reason twice now has reacted strange and was wondering if ne1 can help! i started my rx8 up and twice now when i drive away it feels like no power and engine revs really slow, then when i turn it off and back on allof a sudden its fine revs up normal and power is fine! im new at this and need some info please and thank u!

Can you give more details, such as any CEL's that are on (engine light), and any other symptoms or information would be useful.

 

mileage, trans, maintence, cels, how old is the ignition, running a cat, ect?

 

yes srry engine light on gives 2 codes they are p0661 and p2259 one has to do with hvac and other with vis control soleniod valve circuit low input, and randomly the abs, traction, and brake lights come on but then they go away! i just purshased this car and the dealer that sold it to me got it from an auction! the car seems to run fine, but twice now i get an issue where the power on engine isnt there, and revs up very slowly! i turn it off and back on and engine seems fine! ive read on the forum that coils, sprakplugs and wires can cuase loss of power! iwant to change or replace/check whats necessary i was also getting a catalytic code but no longer ther.e i also want info on if i should just replace cat! thank for ur help the rx8 is automatic and has 103k miles! thanks again

My maintanence so far has been oil change and i just ordered the coils, spark plugs and wires, i should be recieving them 2morrow! i also would like to change cat, and flush out coolant to add new any suggestion!! thanks again for ur concern!
