Important (intake question)

hello friends as they are, my name is Miguel the country of Chile , I have a red rax8 2007 .

is a pleasure to be in this forum. I have several questions as I am changing my rx8 . I got online today with Ports 3 full inches , but header , but Piasini chip and K & N induction Typhon .

my question is:

on many occasions they told me that the K & N induction for RX will remove power elsewhere say no but what I see is that this sucks hot air induction since it is not closed and has a tube to the outside.

I asked him a extention and covered with another filter tube and take extention to the bumper. my doubt is in the experience of you recommend me to gain power and I do not subtract power , leaving the K & N induction or origuinal put the factory .

I 've raced on several other occasions with rx standard and in 2 chance almost won me being modified , I think my car is to go skate a lot and occasionally sticking my second and third . as my car is the 9800 short rescheduled .

be appropriate to move the gears at 8500-8900 rpm or 9800

K&N is the 2nd worse brand name intake you can buy. It's not just because of the "hot air" problem, but that our MAF is very sensitive to airflow changes, and the K&N intake doesn't let the air flow past the MAF smoothly enough. Keep the stock intake. If you really want an intake, get the Racing Beat or AEM/Mazdaspeed intake.


I think your last question is shifting point. Shift at 8,500rpm.

Thank you, go buy the aem.

Some advice for power without putting more turbo boost

i have a few rpm take the car to run on a quarter mile

There isn't much you can do for power for the RX-8 unless you add a supercharger or turbocharger, or add nitrous.

I RECOMMEND origuinal back to induction and remove K & N induction Thyphon

Yea bro I have the k&n and I'm headed to the revi intake with duct, or if I can find a stock air box assembly for a good deal I'll go with that. My idle is great! a little jumpy at times but my engine bay gets real hot so I can only imagine if had the aem or revi or oem how my idle would be. I suggest stock too if I had to choose from those 3.

thank you very much but I'm not clear. I make him take out the k & N TYPHON or I make a box to insulate from heat and cover my car. estava thinking of placing a tube down the bumper to take him to suck air conical. if you'll have closed debira suck cold air and not calntarce filter.

Yes, take out the K&N. Put the OEM intake and airbox back in.

Thank you very much for everything. Extract the induction K*N and volvi to the Origuinal of the RX8 and him puce a pipe as the AEM down. Nowadays my car this one with header and line of leak in 3 inches. All the hp aprximadamente it is gained by this. Also I have reporgramacion Piasini, as his experience this rescheduling that I did to him is good or bad. Regards,
