I need of help...

Hey guys, love the site. There's a lot of info but I can't find my problem, maybe there's a thread somewhere but I'd love some help.

Thing is my 2007 rx8 has been having issues after I replaced the radiator, I got a evap code I lose power and shut off after about 30 miles it runs hard when it's heated up. I want find the answer to my problem. Is it just a vac line leak? Or could it be my apex seals? I hoping to keep from having to do to a dealership I don't have that kind of money on hand. Thank you in advance for any advice. And let me know if you've got further questions.

Please be clear about what code is being thrown. EVAP has nothing to do with vacuum lines nor apex seals. It could be as simple as loose gas cap.

As for the power loss, again, am I understanding this correctly: it runs fine when warmed up but will shut off after 30 miles? It could be your fuel pump going out, that's not super unusual. Does it start up when warm without too much effort, but struggles to start if you let it shut off after 30 miles as described?

Thank you for the quick reply. It starts up fine but once it warms up I loss power and eventually it stalls out. I had tire kingdom hook up their code reader and he told me that I've got a vac leak. Which could have easily happened when replacing the radiator.

Evap leaks and "vac leak" tend to throw different codes.

You really need to know which one it is

The normal "vac leak" code is a too lean code at idle. Check your VFAD nipple and make sure there isn't a leak in that line...it is just above the RAD and airbox tray

The easiest Evap code is usually a small leak...that is often a defective gas cap...or someone disconnected the evap line on the manifold and forgot to plug it back in

Stalling when at normal operating temperature is a sign of low compression on the Renesis engine. Is it difficult to restart once it stalls? What coeds are you pulling from the ECU?
