Hi,

I am a new RX-8 Owner. One who has lived the reality of the Rx-8 reputation.

I bought an automatic Shinka edition RX-8 recently and drove it for about 1 month before it catastrophically over heated. The motor died and lost compression.
I didnt know what to do with it at the time so i stored it. Eventually I decided to take the engine apart and found that it suffered from a coolant seal failure between the rotor housing and the side housing. There was coolant everywhere, in the oil, it broke the radiator from the pressure and it was toast.
The car sat for a long time but now I am going to do something with it. I will start build thread to document my progress. I just got a 6 port replacement engine for it and am going to do a 6 speed swap.
