I just picked my first 8. 6 speed
I don't know what it is about this car but I'm completely obsessed with it already. Motors out and dissasembled from previous owner, going to start cleaning, and check housings/ irons for warpage today and go from there. Maybe a rebuild, maybe a donor engine, but I already ordered the sohn today. I'm just pumped about this weird, finicky, fickle beast and getting to know her! Any advice as far as reliability mods for a guy new to rotaries, new to this car, and new to engine rebuilds is appreciated. I'm thinking full synthetic in the crankcase, two cycle in the sohn, two cycle pre mix, better rad, better rad fan, cat delete, and whatever the best coolant is I forgot, bhr coilpacks, oem apex seals it seems are the most reliable, but I'm open to input from guys who've loved these cars. I've been doing hours of research every day for a week and just picked her up yesterday so im stoked to get it running, and running happily.

Now that they're getting cheap these cars are awesome. I picked up pretty much exact same car last summer. Way fancier inside than my old rx7s and just way better value for chassis compared to like a 240sx or something.
